Are you suffering with depression or anxiety?
Medications and counseling not helping?
Do you have an addiction/drug dependency not improving with traditional methods and rehab?
Ever wondered if there was a better way to overcome these issues?
After years of practicing medicine, I realized I had to walk away or die. I was suffering from long-standing depression, chronic pain, and suicidal ideation. The western medical model was not providing any relief or comfort. It was exacerbating my symptoms and contributing to an opioid addiction. I was living a life without a soul. I left my practice in search of the root cause of my underlying mental health disorder – something not taught in my medical training. To find spiritual healing, I turned to Eastern philosophy. I began to understand the complex trauma of my childhood and long-held false and limiting beliefs about myself.
After many years of study, practicing yoga and meditation, and with spiritual guidance, I found a unique path to recovery. I uncovered a little-known psychedelic called Ibogaine. It reduces opioid withdrawals from weeks to months down to mere hours. It supports psychological healing. It helps the post-withdrawal period to minimize depression and relapse.
Subsequently, I discovered the healing potential of psilocybin. I want to share that with the anyone else who is stuck in their suffering. Psilocybin opens new pathways in the brain to awaken opportunities and viewpoints not previously entertained.
I seek to remove the stigma of mental illness and drug dependence & addiction. After gaining back my freedom from opioid dependence, I wanted to share my experience with the rest of the world. I now want to help others find their unique path back to HOME - Your true and amazing self.
“As a physician who has been friends with colleagues struggling with addiction, Dr. Nielsen’s gut-wrenching personal account was compelling. She leads with honesty, which is still largely missing in the work and personal lives of most health care providers. Providers often feel alone in the struggle with mental illness and addiction. This book helps all of us close that gap. Also, Dr. Nielsen’s account of her psychedelic experience (both good and bad) adds anecdotal evidence to support increased research regarding its use for therapeutic purposes. She appropriately calls attention to specific issues to have a constructive debate regarding our broken and ineffective approach to addiction and recovery.”

Highlights From the Book
*** On a spectrum from mild to severe, most people suffer complex trauma during their childhood. Trauma includes neglect, emotional and physical abuse.
*** Childhood trauma can lead to risky behaviors, the use of mind-altering substances, and a decrease in overall lifetime health.
*** Anyone, despite their socioeconomic status, can be affected by mental illness and substance abuse; blame and shame have no merit in treating these disorders.
***A unique psychedelic, Ibogaine, can be used in the appropriate therapeutic setting to significantly shorten withdrawal symptoms and alleviate post-withdrawal syndrome. Other psychedelics have now shown to be beneficial for a variety of conditions including PTSD, depression, and addiction.
